Our collaboration with the VSArt association was born at the beginning of the year 2011 with a Hôtel-Dieu history conferences cycle.
From that time, at their request we regulary take part in several retirement homes or rehabilitation centers of the department of the Rhône.
This year, a conference about the fascinating history of the Mercière street in Lyon comes to enrich our program.
These conferences are always followed by a debate with the residents, very instructive and even touching, because some of them are the memory of nowadays vanished places as well.
The VSArt association was founded in 1991 on the observation according to which reliant, inpatient or disabled elderly persons had a lack of real support other than palliative.
The purpose is to give to these elders a psychological help, to stimulate their intellectual powers in a friendly atmosphere.
So the VSArt association specialised in the organisation of cultural activities within establishments.
Today there is more than 170 stakeholders, such as speakers, opera singers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, who offer for free an hour of peace and dream. As it's said in the association flyer : « VsArt, the pleasure of communicating... the art of sharing ».

The association is still looking for volunteers to give a hand to their teams and to be able to answer the many needs VsArt can't satisfy for the moment.
If you are available a couple of hour a week, feel free to join its team.
